I’m a British and German citizen, fluent in both languages, and currently based in Berlin, although I spend a lot of time in London. I’ve been a UX/UI designer since 2014, and before that, I was a film and animation artist from 2007 until 2016. I studied a BA in Fine Art, which allowed me to develop my creativity to its fullest potential. This creative foundation has shaped how I approach design and technology. More recently, I updated my knowledge through a Masters in Design for Responsible AI at Elisava in Barcelona, where I focused on innovation.
I live with my two grown-up kids in a rainbow family on the edge of Berlin, in the countryside. Our family is a vibrant, supportive space, and it shapes the inclusive and human-centered approach I bring to my work. I’m driven by a forward-thinking mindset and a commitment to consistency and transparency. My goal is to build technology that is not only innovative but also accountable to the people who interact with it.
When I first started exploring AI, I was captivated by its potential but also acutely aware of its risks. AI is more than just a technical marvel—it’s shaping human lives in ways that can sometimes exclude or harm certain groups. This realization led me to pursue a Masters in Design for Responsible AI at Elisava, where I focused on innovation in the design process.
As a creative thinker, I’m particularly drawn to fiction design, which allows me to imagine possible futures and turn those ideas into research questions that I explore through qualitative interviews, forum discussions, and workshops. Fiction design helps me challenge assumptions and build more inclusive, ethical pathways for technology development.
For me, interpreting technology involves working with a diverse group of stakeholders—designers, engineers, policymakers, and users—to create ongoing systems that assess the societal impact of technology. While the vision behind technology is important, I also believe the process of creating it should be an ongoing act of relationships and inclusion. Building the infrastructure of technology is just as important as the final product, because it shapes how we interact with and are impacted by these systems on a daily basis.
In addition to my work in design, I also find creating systems to design workflows, interfaces, and communication channels, or describing complicated technology in a way that anyone can understand, to be one of my strengths. Whether it’s simplifying complex systems for users or creating clear and effective communication across teams, I take pride in making technology accessible and comprehensible to everyone.
I’m passionate about the intersection of technology, creativity, and social responsibility, and I’m always looking for new ways to shape the future of tech in a way that works for everyone.
