EU AI Act & Accessibility Compliance That Actually Works

I work with organizations where EU AI Act and accessibility requirements collide with real product constraints. Instead of regulatory theater or box-checking, I make trade-offs explicit and integrate governance, risk, and accessibility into product strategy and system behavior.

I'm usually brought in when compliance stops being theoretical and starts affecting real decisions.

15+ years

I completed a Master's in Responsible AI Design because I kept seeing the same pattern: organizations treating compliance as a checkbox exercise while their products quietly failed the people who needed them most.

My work focuses on how AI systems actually function — the data, the models, the behaviors, the limits, the risks. I've spent three years deep in accessibility, leading inclusive design for Germany's first BITV-certified government app. That experience taught me that good compliance isn't about meeting minimums; it's about building systems that work for everyone from the start.

I combine research with practical systems thinking. I work across tools, workshops, interviews, and diagrams to map complexity, test assumptions, and figure out what needs to change. It's equal parts detective work and design — finding where things break down and building the infrastructure to prevent it.

What drives my practice: understanding system failure, tracking how risks propagate through organizations, and translating regulatory requirements into actual operational behavior. Not just interface changes — the workflows, controls, and decision points that make digital systems act responsibly at scale.
